Elks are a large deer species, the males of which have big, spreading antlers. In the Austraeoh universe, elks - the males and the normally-antlerless females alike - have natural mana-channeling abilities.
Elks are one of the main species inhabiting Val Roa, along with ponies, giraffes, deer and other ungulants.
